Once everybody gets settled down, Springfield here we come. Eleven days of nothing but good fortune is almost over. I am so glad to be headed home but yet sad that something like this is already over. I am looking forward to getting home around 6:30 a.m. and sleeping in MY bed until probably forever.
I know I skipped a day, but I am sure I will make up for it now. This trip was unexpectedly smooth and painless. Only one small tiff today and that was it. This trip is definitely one for the memory books and one that I couldn’t be more grateful for.
Last night was our first night in Nashville, Marlee and I had to produce a story. We found this great girl who spends her nights on the weekends hula-hooping in front of the Wild Beaver Saloon. She was a great character and extremely sweet. That story should be up on our website by Saturday afternoon.
Today we were in Nashville once again. We work up to a depressing sight about rain and thick grey clouds. We went and ate at the Pancake Pantry. It was very good and filled me up! Then the real fun began; Marlee, Chelsy, Kendra, and I dolled ourselves up in dresses and heels and made our way to every country fan’s dream. We went with Coach Davis and his wife Martha to the Grand Ole’ Opry. We sang along to Billy Currington, Rodney Atkins, Trent Tomlinson, Connie Smith, The Whites, and many others. It was fabulous and definitely one of my favorite moments from the trip.
We are now officially on the road back. We have been shared the news of snow and cold weather back in S-town. Welcome home right?! Wish us safe travels and memories to share forever!
Thank you to everyone who played some part in this trip: Sponsors, donators, family, friends, etc. It’s because of you that HTV Magazine got this unbelievable experience.
P.S. My camera died again so I have no new pictures to share :(
