With my coffee cup in hand, I will tell you this:

Goodbye D.C.

We can call it an early night tonight! We head out tomorrow morning for Virginia Beach!

Washington D.C. caused me to be very appreciative. We first went to the Newseum and it is full of well, News stuff. Well they have this whole area dedicated to 9/11. It was so heartbreaking. There was an actually piece from the North Tower itself, it was a part of the 160 foot antenna on top. We also saw a 13 minute document about the journalist who were at Ground Zero when the attacks happened. It made us all cry.

We then went to the Holocaust Museum. That says it all right there. I can not even being to describe how it was. Devastating, depressing, horrifying, those don’t even really work.

After today, I realized (not for the first time obviously) that I am so fortunate for everything I have! I get to travel the whole East Coast with amazing people, in an amazing bus, with an amazing teacher and I get to be apart of this amazing program! It is all so surreal. My parents are wonderful and care so much about all the things I do!

I need to catch up on a huge lack of sleep because I am so exhausted.

Until next time… The “China Town” of D.C. does not even compare.
