With my coffee cup in hand, I will tell you this:

Was that Obama?!

Okay so we didn’t get to see Obama, well not yet anyways. 

We have come to a conclusion on our first day in our nations capital. The monuments were spectacular to see at night. My favorite one was the Veteran’s Memorial wall. There are so many names on it, so many families who lost somebody they loved. The Korean War wall was also very neat because it was all sand blasted!

So we didn’t get done sight seeing until about 10:30 tonight. Well here in this nice city, not a single place is open except for the drive-thru!! You can’t walk through one and you can’t take a charter bus, so we had quite the deliema. Yes my readers, Taco Bell, KFC, Wendy’s, Blimpies… all closed! Kendra and I went back to the room and chowed down. We have Frosted Flakes, Milano cookies, Quakers, Pop-Tarts and other junk food. We also have Sparkling Grape Cider and V8 Splash so there really are no complaints.

Tomorrow we have a quite the agenda and Marlee and I still haven’t finished our story. So goodnight and goodluck.
