With my coffee cup in hand, I will tell you this:

“‘Start spread the news.. Cause I’m leavin’ today.”

Today was a grand ol’ day! I got to go to “The Big Apple”. It was so exciting. I rode in a subway, saw Central Park, explored China Town (little disgusting) and got an incredibly, adorable Coach purse at a very cheap price!

After all that, the boys, Davis, Marlee, and I decided to take a break from some shopping. We took a quick (ok maybe not) bathroom break at a McDonalds and stood in a line of at least 30 people! It was ridiculous. We then walked a very far way to go see Ground Zero. We first came upon St. Paul’s Church. I was left completely unharmed after 9/11 even though the majority of it’s surrounding buildings (including the Twin Towers) where just fragments of debris floating around. Seeing the place where two towers where once occupying was a mixture of emotions. I felt pain, anger, sadness, but I also felt happy and a little sympathetic about life. It was a horrible tragedy and I don’t feel the need that I have to explain it to you because it’s been on the news a time or two ya know? But it did make me appreciate my life and everything in for sure. They are in the process of rebuilding the towers now so all you can really see is a tall chain-link fence covered with a blue tarp that explains what is going on just on the other side.

Marlee and I lucked out today because we found what we are hoping to be a great story. It was an elderly man who was full of conspiracy theories regarding the incidents on September 11, 2001. He tought us some new things and made us question some more. Our story should be uploaded to our website (htvmagazine.com) by Sunday night.

After this, we all walked to Battery Park and saw “Lady Liberty”. It was beautiful even though we weren’t very close to her. Then, we crammed ourselves in a cab to travel a few miles to Times Square! This was so exciting to me because it is what I imagine when I hear New York City. I even called my dad because it was so amazing to me that I had to share it with somebody! It was like nothing I have ever experienced before that is for sure! Night time came around and it was time for Broadway’s Guys and Dolls. That was really neat to watch. Kendra was my buddy for this and she was as excited as she could be because Lauren Graham from the Gilmore Girls was a leading role.

We are now back in the hotel and are completely exhausted because we are lacking sleep more than anything! Tomorrow we head for Washington D.C. so I sure I will have plenty to blog about then!

Until next time… I think five cross-dressers in a 12 hour period was more than enough for me!
