Oh Cali Love..
This blog is not going to be very extensive, because well I’m in California and have better things to do! 14 members of the media programs (i.e. HTV and TFS) at Hillcrest are currently in Anaheim, California for this years STN (Student Television Network) Convention. Summed up, it is a thing that all the media nerds do! There are over 1,800 kids from 27 different states! The cool thing is...

A Day in the Life of a SENIOR... not
I will warn you now, this blog will make you tear your eyes out, please to not hold me responsible, you could have close this screen at anytime.
I woke up this morning at 6:45, fell back asleep until 7:30. And since I need at least 15 minutes to get to school and I was not in the mood to rush, I called my mom. She did a nice job of calling the attendance ladies (for the second time this week) and...

Home sweet home
It has been a wild start to the new year already.
January 5, my parents left for Mazatlan, Mexico and my grandma came to my house to stay with me. Now, for the past few years, my parents travel somewhere at the beginning of every year. When they leave the house, my grandma and I have come to expect less than lovely weather. One year, we had that big ice storm (yeah I know you remember what I am...

Chelsy Rea's thoughts
If ever my fellow co-news director has said something wise, it was this, “I wonder what a snow-plowman does during summer?”. I mean, the girl has got a point.. But then again.. what does Santa do when it’s not Christmas? She almost smacked me for that comment…
And now with that thought turning in my mind, a different Chelsey is sitting next to looking at the radar, i think...

Don’t touch my board Friday Show.
This is what we get.
Well since Coach decided to throw two brand-new things on to this staff this year… things are at the very least, interesting. Deadlines we can’t miss, and a website WE MUST KEEP UPDATED! Now in a teenagers last defense, we tend to be disorganized, unmotivated, and our attention span… have I told you about my dog?
Anyways, my newsbeat is behind for the website, my story missed...

Magazine 170. DONE!
This is the first time I have looked at my blog site since my very last one which seemed forever ago. I enjoyed a summer and slept a lot since then so there is no telling.
Well this new year’s staff successfully completed their first show… and I hope you are sitting down for this next part, Coach gave us a B. That is something worth celebrating! That rarely happens for the first show....

One by one, we can all be the change we wished for.

I think this year has big one of my biggest learning experiences ever. I want to thank everybody who has help make this so. I know I am going to miss this years seniors like no other! Like Mehleena said, I shouldn’t point out certain people… but who cares?!

So long, farewell, to you and you and you.
Once everybody gets settled down, Springfield here we come. Eleven days of nothing but good fortune is almost over. I am so glad to be headed home but yet sad that something like this is already over. I am looking forward to getting home around 6:30 a.m. and sleeping in MY bed until probably forever.
I know I skipped a day, but I am sure I will make up for it now. This trip was unexpectedly...

Hey! Just letting anyone who reads my nonsense that you can no longer post comments. My website got messed up. Thanks for reading though :)
I have something for you to add to that fortune...
Hello Charlotte!!! After last night, today was a nice change, besides the rain n’ all.
I discovered a much better way to sleep on the bus today. It was all going peachy-keen until it came time to start editing… Any frustration Coach Davis had built up, I helped him get rid of. I am not going to make an sort of excuses but long story short, I sucked at filming for this latest story...

What good is a beach when its hardly 40 degrees...
This morning, we all decided that being up before the sun is morally wrong! After using every bit of energy we could find, we loaded up the bus and hit the road yet again. It was basically a quiet bus ride, everybody sleep and some even resorted to the floor.
Arriving in Virginia Beach today was a nice change of scenery. I didn’t mind going from tall buildings to the open water. Well ok, I...
Goodbye D.C.
We can call it an early night tonight! We head out tomorrow morning for Virginia Beach!
Washington D.C. caused me to be very appreciative. We first went to the Newseum and it is full of well, News stuff. Well they have this whole area dedicated to 9/11. It was so heartbreaking. There was an actually piece from the North Tower itself, it was a part of the 160 foot antenna on top. We also saw a 13...
Was that Obama?!
Okay so we didn’t get to see Obama, well not yet anyways.
We have come to a conclusion on our first day in our nations capital. The monuments were spectacular to see at night. My favorite one was the Veteran’s Memorial wall. There are so many names on it, so many families who lost somebody they loved. The Korean War wall was also very neat because it was all sand blasted!
So we...
I am trying to think of what that squirrel would have said.

58 steps to the top of the monument. As in one for each state right?
– Kelton Russell
With our Coach purses, we do not just walk, we strut!
– Marlee and I (Very proud of our purchases today, we just wanted to make sure Coach Davis fully understood how we felt.)
"'Start spread the news.. Cause I'm leavin'...
Today was a grand ol’ day! I got to go to “The Big Apple”. It was so exciting. I rode in a subway, saw Central Park, explored China Town (little disgusting) and got an incredibly, adorable Coach purse at a very cheap price!
After all that, the boys, Davis, Marlee, and I decided to take a break from some shopping. We took a quick (ok maybe not) bathroom break at a McDonalds and...
Hello NEW YORK CITY.... okay maybe not.
We left Cleveland early this morning. It really wasn’t anything to exciting I must say. Kendra and I once again fell asleep as soon as we hit the road. We knew we had yet another eight hour drive so we weren’t in any hurry to do anything. For lunch we stopped at the Dutch Pantry in Pennsylvania! I have never had Dutch food, I ordered a cheeseburger for lunch :). Sorry mom I...
A parade would be nice.

Cleveland is next!
We had officially made it out of Chicago alive today! We are headed now to Cleveland to stay the night, and yes my friends, New York City is our next victim!
Today we had groups all over. Coach and some staff worked a little camp thing, and the rest of us had some fun. Michigan Ave. was awesome. They have a Forever XXI. They don’t call it 21 like we do back home. Kendra defeated what we...
Day one has come to a close.
This first day of this springbreak trip is coming to a close..
The bus ride was fun because Marlee, Chelsy (when she started feeling better), Kendra and I talked for basically the whole ride, unless we were sleeping! Apparently, Kendra and I looked like cats the way we were sleeping haha. But our conversations were crazy and I guess you could call it a good bonding experience. Marlee painted my...

And so it has begun...
It is less than a week away! The big spring break ‘09 trip for HTV!!!
I do feel bad for all the poor souls along the East coast that we will be attacking soon enough.
Well I got my snacks, enough clothes for a month and my Ipod is charged. Start the bus :)
